Overall, the use of poisons in scientific research is probably more widespread than most people realize.
Without poisons our understanding of how the human body works would have been greatly hampered.
Though it is disturbing that so many scientists and health care providers have used their knowledge not to help people but to harm them, it cannot be overstated that the responsibility for such atrocities lies not with the drugs, but solely with the killers who use them.
